Atelier Commisions
Commissioned pieces are created in collaboration with you, transforming your ideas into a one-of-a-kind garment in our signature style.
The Custom Process
1. Share your idea
Begin by sharing your concept via the Contact page or by emailing us at hello@delashhhh.com. The more detail you provide, the better. This may include moodboards, references, colours, silhouettes, or the feeling you wish the piece to embody.
2. Creative consultation
We will go through your ideas together in detail, exploring design directions, materials, lace, trims, structure, and construction possibilities. This stage is about refining your vision and gently shaping it into something that can be brought to life.
3. Budget discussion
We will discuss your budget to ensure the design aligns with what is possible. This helps guide material choices and construction complexity while keeping the piece within a realistic and transparent range.
4. Design development
I will then create a design based on our conversations. Once you are happy with the design, we will confirm the final cost and estimated timeline for completion.
5. Payment & timeline
Once confirmed, production begins from the moment payment is received, with all relevant materials ordered immediately. Full payment is preferred upfront to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted production process. However, for larger commissions, a staged payment plan may be arranged. This typically consists of 60% upfront to begin the commission, and the remaining 40% paid upon completion, once you have viewed the finished garment prior to dispatch.
6. Final confirmation before construction
Two weeks before cutting into the final fabric, I will contact you again to go through all agreed details. This includes confirming measurements, requesting any additional information if needed, and ensuring everything is still accurate and up to date. This is also an opportunity to revisit the design and final specifications, ensuring you are completely happy before construction begins. Once the fabric is cut, no further changes can be made.
7. Creation
Your piece is then carefully made by hand in our atelier. Throughout the process, it slowly comes to life through careful attention to structure, detail, and craftsmanship.
