We are a mother-and-daughter team creating clothing for the whimsical modern woman - pieces inspired by history, fantasy, art, and storytelling, but designed to be lived in.

I've always been obsessed with historical dress and fantasy fashion. To me, clothing is never just something you wear - it’s identity, imagination, and storytelling, a belief so deep that part of my PhD explores the relationship between clothing and identity. I’ve always dreamed of dressing like the heroines of my favourite films and the protagonists of the Victorian novels I grew up reading, while also honouring my Iranian heritage. These worlds naturally merge in my work, where nineteenth-century silhouettes meet Persian influences, history blends with fantasy, and fact dissolves into fiction to create gowns that feel as though they’ve stepped straight out of a painting. I have no formal fashion training - almost everything I know is self-taught - but when I fall in love with something, I’m relentless in learning it. This brand began from a desire to share that sense of beauty and whimsy with others, because I believe beauty brings joy, and joy is meant to be shared.

Afsaneh

Where I bring the stories, my mum brings the precision.

With formal training in fashion, Afsaneh is the technical heart of the brand. She has an eye for perfect silhouettes, impeccable construction, and a rich, moody palette. Through her personal whimsigoth style and love of dark jewel tones, she constantly encourages me to explore darker, more expressive shades. She develops every pattern, refining each design so that every seam aligns beautifully and every garment hangs exactly as it should. She is the perfectionist behind the symmetry, structure, and craftsmanship that transform an idea into a beautifully made piece.

Collaborating alongside her brings an added layer of joy to the process. There is a constant exchange of ideas between us, and a thrill in watching something imagined become something real. And when we see our pieces worn by You, we’re reminded why we do this, often ending in a little shared happy dance.

This brand is just as much about You as it is about us. We create clothing for women, by women, with the belief that beautiful garments should never come at the expense of comfort.

Each piece is lovingly made to order, created to feel entirely and unmistakably yours, with the hope that every woman - or anyone who finds themselves drawn to this world - whatever their shape or size, feels ethereal within it. Whenever possible we include pockets - yes, pockets - because aesthetics should never come at the expense of practicality - after all, how else would you carry your little treasures? Many of our garments are designed with adjustability, because bodies shift, soften, and change - and sometimes, after a wonderful meal, who doesn’t want to let loose just a little?
